Crystal WMS

Warehouse management for manufacturing plants

Every pallet, every bin, every scan. Accounted for.

Crystal WMS runs your stores bin by bin, from the truck at the gate to the truck at the dock. Your team scans instead of typing, the stock on screen is the stock on the shelf, and every movement reaches your ERP.

  • On-premise, on your own server
  • SAP, Tally or your own ERP
  • Android handhelds and scanners
  • Made in India for Indian plants
Sound familiar

A store run on registers is a store nobody can see.

None of this is anyone's fault. It is what happens when stock lives in registers, spreadsheets and people's heads instead of one system the whole floor uses.
  • The register says 400. The shelf says 380.

Stock written in registers and spreadsheets drifts from the floor a little every day, until a count or a stock-out shows how far.

  • “It’s somewhere in aisle 3.”

Without bin locations, finding material depends on who is on shift. New people walk the racks; experienced people become the system.

  • The ERP and the store disagree.

Receipts and issues keyed in twice, days late, by different people. Accounts closes the month on numbers the store doesn't recognise.

The floor plan

Walk the store. Every zone has its module.

This is a plant store from above: the gate and yard, the docks, quality hold, racks, dry cabinets for sensitive parts, pick faces, the line and dispatch. Pick a zone to see what Crystal WMS does there.

Tap a zone. The red line is a pallet's way in: gate, dock, quality, racks, pick face, line.

Zone

Main racks

Every pallet goes to a ranked bin, confirmed by scan. Stock is held per bin and counted in place, with the counted bins frozen and the rest still working.

Try it

Follow one pallet. Watch the ledger.

Every scan writes to one stock ledger, and lines are only ever added. Take a pallet of circuit boards from the gate to a cycle count, and try scanning the wrong bin on the way.

On the floor

Built for the people holding the scanner.

Storekeepers, pickers and security work on Android handhelds in the browser: big targets, one job per screen, and a scan instead of a keyboard wherever there can be one.
  • Scan, don't typePallets, boxes, bins and items all carry labels. A wrong scan is refused before anything moves.
  • No app to installIt runs in the handheld's browser, so updates reach every device at once.
  • Wi-Fi dead spots are fineScans made offline wait on the device and sync when the network returns.

Every module

Start with one flow. Add the rest on the same ledger.

Modules are grouped the way material moves: inbound, store, production, outbound, then control and connect around them. Filter by flow, or type what you're looking for.

Who uses it

Everyone sees their job, and only their job.

Roles decide what each person sees and can do. Security registers vehicles but can't allocate docks; a storekeeper counts but can't approve the adjustment.

Handheld at the gate

Security

Records who came in, with what, and nothing more. The dock is the store's decision.

  • Registers each arriving vehicle, driver and documents
  • Runs the plant's own security checklist
  • Records gate out against the gate pass

Your ERP hears about every movement.

Crystal WMS pulls the orders it works against and posts every receipt, issue and dispatch back. If the ERP is down, the warehouse keeps working and the posts are retried.

Getting started

From walking your store to going live.

Every plant is different, so every rollout starts on your floor. The steps are always these four; the timeline comes with your quote.
  1. 01

    Walk your store

We map your flows, documents and roles with your team, and agree where to start.

  2. 02

    Set up locations

Zones, racks and bins drawn in, items and locations bulk uploaded, labels printed.

  3. 03

    Connect and train

ERP and devices connected, handhelds set up, each role trained on its own screens.

  4. 04

    Go live, flow by flow

Start with receiving and inventory, then add issue, dispatch and counting on the same ledger.

Questions

What plants ask us first.

More on deployment, ERP and handhelds on the questions page.
Where does Crystal WMS run?

On-premise: on a server in your plant or your group's data centre, so your stock data stays on your network and the floor doesn't depend on an internet connection.

Does it work with SAP and Tally?

Yes. Crystal WMS posts goods receipts, issues, production receipts, dispatches, returns, transfers and stock adjustments to SAP or Tally, and pulls purchase orders, sales orders and work orders from them. A custom REST adapter covers other ERPs.

What handhelds and scanners does it work with?

Crystal WMS runs in the browser, so it works on Android handheld scanners and phones without an app-store install. USB and Bluetooth scanners work as keyboard input, and the device camera can scan too.

What happens when the Wi-Fi drops?

Scans made while the network is down are kept on the device and sent when it reconnects, so a dead spot in the racks doesn't stop work.

What if the ERP is down?

The warehouse keeps working. The transaction completes in Crystal WMS, the failed post is logged in the integration monitor and the exceptions queue, and it can be retried once the ERP is back.

Can we start with one flow?

Yes. Many plants start with receiving, put-away and inventory in one warehouse, then add production issue, dispatch and counting. Everything shares one stock ledger, so each new flow builds on the last.
